Lina Lam ’98 is the marketing director for FulPHIL the Mind, in which she is helping to build an organization that inspires university students with turn-key ways to give back and impact the lives of young Filipinos.
In addition, she is on the advisory board of the Business of Sports School which encourages sports experience to participate in speaker series, mentoring programs and building other sports career experiences for high school students.
Born in China, Lina emigrated with her parents to Queens in 1988. Not knowing a word of English, she credits her quick adaptation of the English language and American culture to her love for early ’90s sit-coms like “The Cosby Show.” Her hard-working immigrant parents have been her biggest motivation for doing well and doing right in life.
After Townsend Harris, she graduated from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business in 2002 with a bachelor of science degree in marketing and international business.
