Dorcas E. Davis ’99
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Dorcas began performing at an early age, modeling for her first catalog at six months old. Her love for performance grew with every childhood recital and play, soon writing was added as passion.

While at Bryn Mawr College, Dorcas had the opportunity to direct, produce and act, fueling her commitment to an artistic career. After graduation, Dorcas returned to New York to study with some of the industry’s most esteemed teachers. Her stage work includes Anima (2006 NYC Fringe Festival); “The Colored Museum” and “…Young Lady from Rwanda.”
Dorcas has performed her successful one-woman play, “Unwritten” to full houses at the legendary Symphony Space and other venues. Her work has been getting rave reviews from national publications. The Boston Globe calls her “especially entrancing,” and reviewer said her performance “will send shivers down your spine.”
