Lawrence Centrello, Class of 1929
Lawrence J. Centrello, of Yonkers, NY, passed away on March 6, 2007. He was 92. Lawrence was a graduate of Harvard Law School (1937). He was a Seabee in the US Navy during WW II. He married Maxine Bracker on September 2, 1939. She predeceased him on March 15, 1979. The family includes his current wife Marjorie (Dalto), daughters, Constance Centrello and Barbara Garland, grandchildren, Eric Garland and Cynthia Tarnowski, and three great grandchildren. Lawrence was active in many organizations and served on many boards including, the Homefield Civic Assn., Echo Bay Yacht Club, Westchester ARC, and the American Legion. An ardent second amendment advocate, though he owned no gun, he belonged to the NRA. Visitation at the Flynn Memorial Home, Inc. Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, 10 AM at St. Anthony's R.C. Church. Burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Westchester ARC, 121 Westmoreland Ave., White Plains, NY 10606; or St. Anthony's Church, 10 Squire Ave., Yonkers, NY 10703; or Echo Bay Yacht Club.
