Edward Coopersmith, 95, formerly of Reading and Palm Beach, Florida died of natural causes April 2, 2013 at Reading Hospital.
He was the husband of the late Gertrude “Goldie” Coopersmith who died in June of 2007.
Born in New York, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rose Coopersmith.
Edward is survived by one son, Robert, husband of Mindy Coopersmith, and three daughters, Joan, wife of Stephen Schuldenfrei; Marilyn, wife of Mitchell Orlin and Beth, wife of Robert Caster. Edward is also survived by two sister-in-laws, Carole Coopersmith and Mollie Goetz, 13 grandchildren, Scott and Dawn Schuldenfrei, Caren and Carl Oberg, Cherin and Jason Hershkowitz, Bryan Orlin, Jared and Christy Coopersmith, Jeremy and Joseph Coopersmith, Morton and Richard Caster, 5 great-grandchildren, Gabriella and Rebecca Schuldenfrei, Ethan Hershkowitz, Evan Orlin, and Desmond Coopersmith.
Edward was a former President of Talbot Knitting Mills, a division of US Industries and was a Naval veteran serving during WWII. In addition he was a life long member of the New York State Society Of Certified Public Accountants.
