Ernest Gottlieb, 86, of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away on January 29, 2012 at the Seasons by Riviera. Ernie was born August 26, 1925 in the Bronx, N.Y., a son of Louis and Ida (Schaeffer) Gottlieb. He moved to Ormond Beach in 1994 from Syosset, NY after retiring as a life-long professional in the printing industry. He was a graduate of Townsend Harris High School, NYC. He received his BA from City College, N.Y. and his Master’s degree from Columbia University. He was a veteran, having served in the Army and was a Major in the NY Guard. Ernie was an avid golfer and especially enjoyed traveling, bowling and the NY Times crossword puzzles. His love, support and compassion will be missed by Harriet, his wife of 62 years; a son, Glenn Gottlieb, and wife, Amelia, of Ormond Beach, FL; a grandson Adam Gottlieb, and wife, Kathryn, of Houston, TX; and a great granddaughter, Eliana Rose.
