Eugene Ehrlich, Class of 1938

Eugene Ehrlich, 85, died at home in Mamaroneck, NY, April 5, 2008. Teacher and author, co-author, and editor of more than 40 books on language, writing, and studying. Best known for Amo, Amas, Amat, and More. Taught for many years at Columbia School of General Studies, and at Fairleigh Dickinson.

Consultant for Bell Labs, Sikorsky Aircraft and other companies. Graduate of Townsend Harris High School, City College, and Columbia Teachers College. Served in the Pacific in World War II.

Husband of Norma, father of Anne, Henry, Richard, and Jonathan. Proud grandfather of Sam, Mickey, Rebecca, Alice, Margaret, Ruth, Daniel, and Jason Ehrlich, and Hazel and Harry Wodehouse.

Funeral at ZION MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 785 E. Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck, NY; Tuesday April 8 at 12 noon. A memorial service will be held in late spring.
