Joseph C. Raho Honored for service at Mount Carmel parish in Montclair Joseph C. Raho of Glen Ridge, N.J., passed away Monday, January 25, 2016.
Born in Manhattan, N.Y. on Aug. 15, 1925, Mr. Raho was married to Filomena Claps Raho of Glen Ridge, N.J. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, where he was a 1998 recipient of the Jubilee Medal Pro Meritis for distinguished service within the Archdiocese of Newark. Surviving are his wife, Filomena Claps Raho; three sons, Joseph P. Raho, Michael F.P. Raho, and Gerard E. Raho, daughters-in-law, Stephanie, Deborah, and Jane; seven grandchildren, Joseph, Keith and wife, Joycelin, Caroline, Justin, Christienne, Christian, and Mia, and two great- granddaughters, Sophie and Isabelle.
