Samuel Fenster, 89, passed away at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Wayne, NJ on Thursday Sept. 22, 2011.
He was born in New York City, NY, he lived in Clifton, NJ before moving to Wayne, NJ over 23 years ago.
He graduated from Townsend Harris High School in New York, NY and the graduated from CCNY where he received his Bachelors of Science Degree.
During World War II he served his country in the United States Army Air Corps in England, France and Germany, he received both the Good Conduct Medal and The World War II Victory Medal. He worked for Tobin-Howe Paper Box Co in Clifton, NJ for about 20 years after that he was the proprietor of Lewis Products Co. a Giftware, Manufacturer and Importer co in Passaic, for over 20 years retiring 23 years ago.
He was a Past President of the B’nai Brith Men’s and a Member of Temple Emanuel Both of Passaic. He was also an avid sports fan enjoyed to travel and to play golf.
Surviving are his wife Norma Fenster nee Tobin, his two sons The Honorable Municipal Court Judge of Paterson, NJ Philip Fenster his wife Laurie of Paterson, NJ and James Fenster of Clifton, NJ a brother Victor Fenster of San Bernardino, CA and many nieces and nephews. Services at Jewish Memorial Chapel 841 Allwood Rd. Clifton, NJ on Sunday at 11 AM interment at Riverside Cemetery Rochelle Park, NJ.
